Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a wide array of heroes, and a thrilling plot showcasing angels, demons, and malevolent powers increasing in strength within the urban setting.
Heads-up: Spoilers for Episode 3 of the new season are included.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
The latest chapter ended with a dramatic pause and presented the premier party of adventurers who will separate from the main group to embark on their independent quest, apart from the other two tables.
This warrior group includes Teor (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
With a large ensemble, it was obvious from the beginning that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Introduction, connecting the characters’ stories before dividing into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Planners, and Explorers.
What Defines the Soldiers Table
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for adventurers who enjoy a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven story mode where peaceful solutions are scarce.
Initially, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might seem unsuited, but the events of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Reasons to Leave
To begin with, the group understands precisely where to go next after a intense first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose demise kicked off the narrative’s action—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his own means, breaking into the secret base, striking the character, and taking all the magical artifacts to auction.
The traitor then settled his obligations and escaped to a secure base in the remote area, beyond the city, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Secondly, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as the companion and best friend, wants retribution.
- The knowledgeable figure knows Timmony and cautions that it is a dangerous location.
- The warrior and Wicander, having defied his relatives’ demands to eliminate Teor and instead rescued him, have no other options.
- Yet, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could assist the team enter areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Furthermore, Teor swore a life debt to Wicander for his deliverance and will now accompany him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are hunted by the authorities that govern Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally too risky:
- Thimble and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- The warrior and The healer betrayed the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
- Teor is marked for death by the clan.
This results in them no alternative but to head to Timmony in pursuit of Casimir.
